About Jeanette

Internationally acclaimed soprano Jeanette Vecchione-Donatti is a thrill to audiences both in the opera house and on the concert stage. In repertoire that spans from Handel to Bernstein, she has graced the stages of the Vienna State Opera, Paris Opera, Theatre des Champs Elysees, Oper Köln, Teatro del Opera di Trieste, Teatro Massimo di Catania, Teatro Mario del Monaco, Teatro Auditorio Escorial, Quincena Musical de San Sebastian, Opera Toulon, Florida Grand Opera, Teatro del Lago de Frutillar and many others. Highlighted roles include Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Amina in La Sonnambula, both Konstanze and Blondchen in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann and most notably as the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte.

In the 2025–26 season, Ms. Vecchione-Donatti made an acclaimed role debut as Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata with Parma Lirica, earning rave reviews from the Gazzetta di Parma, and was immediately re-engaged for concerts of La Traviata excerpts at the Auditorium Paganini di Parma and the Teatro Regio di Parma. Recent seasons have also featured solo concerts with conductors Pablo Mielgo (Symphony of the Americas) and Ramon Tebar (Opera Naples), and a duo concert with tenor Arturo Chacón-Cruz in Miami, Florida.

In summer 2026, she appears at Festival Napa Valley as a Manetti Shrem Opera Prizewinner, headlining Maria Manetti Celebrates La Dolce Vita! honoring Luciano Pavarotti — with whom she studied — with Festival Orchestra Napa and conductor Michelle Di Russo at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, California, during the festival’s 20th anniversary season.

She has appeared as a soloist in a variety of opera, ensemble and song repertoire including new composers at Carnegie Hall, Philharmoniker Hamburg, Haifa Symphony, NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, Musica Riva Festival, Musashino Music Festival, Santa Barbara Symphony among several others.

Ms. Donatti had the privilege to study with notable singers and conductors such as Luciano Pavarotti, Kiri Te Kanawa, Renata Scotto, Michel Plasson and Natalie Dessay.

She has won numerous awards in many competitions nationally and internationally such as the Licia Albanese Puccini Foundation, Concorso Riccardo Zandonai, Renata Tebaldi Competition, Sullivan Award, Mario Lanza Competition of Philadelphia, Concorso Mario Lanza di Filignano, Giulio Gari Foundation, Bel Canto Competition, National Opera Association, Opera Pienza, Concorso Internazionale di Maria Caniglia, Concorso Lirica di Toti dal Monte.

Ms. Donatti received a full scholarship to attend The Juilliard School and graduated with both a Bachelors and Masters in Music
